TiVo V6 Pricing - Explained

The pricing structure is rather more simple than VM have been managing to make out so far!

 Package\Boxes 1st 2nd 3rd
 VIP £49.95  Free £99.95
 Full House (200Mb)   £49.95 £49.95  £99.95
 Full House (100Mb) £99.95 £49.95 £99.95

All of the above have £14.95 activation fee, regardless of the number of boxes you take.

If you're ordering more TiVo V6 boxes than you already have TiVos, whether as extra boxes or replacements for V+HD/V-HD, then the monthly TiVo charge will apply per additional box.

If you don't already have at least 100Mbps broadband, then there may be additional subscription charges to bring it up to speed.

For example...
200Mbps Full House with 2 TiVos, you want 2 V6s:
£49.95 for the first V6, £49.95 for the second, and £14.95 activation = £114.85 one off, with no change in the monthly subscription.

100Mbps Full House with 1 TiVo & 1 V-HD, you want 3 V6s:
£99.95 for the 1st V6, £49.95 for the 2nd, £99.95 for the 3rd, and £14.95 activation = £264.80 one off.
£5/mth to upgrade the V-HD to a TiVo, £6.50/mth to add a 3rd box, £5/mth to make the 3rd box a TiVo = £16.50/mth increase.

N.B. The above assumes you don't have any existing recurring promotional/loyalty discounts applied to your package which will be lost if you enter into a new contract.

Your bill will say whether you're on the VIP bundle normally.

I'm pretty sure the VIP package comes with 2 TiVos (1TB, 500GB), so if you have a V-HD as your second box then it would only be one of the Full House packages.

There have been many flavours of VIP over the years. Not all of them came with two TiVo boxes.

You'll need to speak to Customer Services. It's not something that can be changed via the forum

Re: TiVo V6 Pricing - Explained

My Upgrades and Offers on My Virgin Media shows that I have The Big Kahuna bundle (Vivid 200Mb/TV XL/Talk Unlimited, for which I pay £65.47/month + Annual Line Rental Saver payment) and that I can upgrade to the V6 box for a one-off cost of £64.94 (presumably £49.95 + £14.99) but there will be an extra £8.03/month, giving a charge of £73.50 for 12 months, then £89.49/month (Line Rental included).

Is this correct? I understood that there was going to be no extra monthly cost. There is no way that I am going to pay what they are offering.
