waste of time buying a travel pass

i bought a travel pass to use in france, and it doesnt work, glad it was only a 50mb one. my data roaming is switched on, ive removed the battery while my phone is switched on to hard boot it, tried all the suggestions on the blog, but still no joy. text status to 23456, and still 50mb available. luckily i have another phone with me using giffgaff network and that works fine. seems like virgin have a problem getting to work abroad.i will be looking to getting a refund when i return home, as im not paying extortionate call charges to be kept waiting on the phone to customer services.
