I have a 2 year contract which is due for renewal in June 2016. I have been experiencing problems with charging my Sony Xperia L telephone, the battery is not holding its charge and takes ages to charge. I have been told that I need to order a battery from the internet, but it must be a Sony battery where there is a charge of about £12. Why if I am on contract and unable to use my mobile minutes and internet access am I not entitled to a new phone?
I'm really sorry that you're having some issues with the battery on the phone. I'm afraid our warranty doesn't entitle you to a new phone when there's a fault. It sounds like we may need to bring this in for repair.
You can arrange to bring this in for repair via your online account page here by going to Plan and Device > Phone Repairs.
We can take a look at the battery and replace this for you.
