Replacement sim allows data but not calls or text (on S7 edge)

2 days ago I couldn't make or receive calls or text, but data was working. Virgin said it was because I changed plan but did not activate my new sim in time. Replacement sim arrived, same problem, except sim works phone in other phones so I'm guessing something happened to my s7 edge 2 days earlier.
The following has been unsuccessful. Soft and hard reset. Network settings reset. All setting reset. Clear phone cache and partition in Android menu.
Not tried yet. Factory reset Flashing the phone (via Samsung repair centre).
We go on holiday in 2 weeks so need sorting fast. Any suggestions?
