I have just put my pay monthly sim in my new phone. It is fully unlocked and compatible with all virgin UK bands. (Black view bv6000).
The sim allows 4g and SMS but will not allow me to talk on calls. I can dial out and accept calls but the other caller can not hear me. The phones microphone is working as I can record and also have a coverasation via WhatsApp.
When I go to the sim options on the menu the data option says EE but the calls option is greyed out?
There were no issues with service when using my old phone.
Please help - I'd call the virgin helpline but no one would hear me!
Welcome to the Community Forum and thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing a problem with your calls. Thanks for letting us know that your mobile data and text messaging is working.
Please check the following:
Settings > Mobile Networks > Search Networks: You'll need to connect to the Virgin network
Also please verify:
Settings > About device > Status >SIM card status
Network: Virgin (if it shows any other provider, then the phone is not unlocked)
Service state: In service
Mobile Network status: Connected
