Keeping old phone number

I'm planning on switching from my current pay-as-you-go phone which uses a Virgin sim to a Virgin contract phone.

On the Virgin help pages it explains you can keep your number if you're switching from another network, but it doesn't say anything about Virgin payg to Virgin contract.

Can anyone offer any ideas?

Many thanks

Re: Keeping old phone number

Intra-network PAC codes don't seem to work for any network provider, you're better off asking virgin for the pac code and transferring it to another network PAYG sim card, then transfer it back to virgin on your new tariff.

I know it's a pain in the butt, but it's the only way to keep the existing number within the same network.

I'll always try my best to help, although my advice may not always lead to a solution. Take it as you wish, I just like to help Smiley Happy

Re: Keeping old phone number

Virgin should be able to transfer the number without the need for a PAC code

Usually they just need your details for the PAYG and security password.

I've changed things through 789 in  the past.
