How do I change my existing Freestyle tariff to the £12 plan.
My online account does not list Freestyle contracts for me to change to, only standard tariffs.
The call centre is absolutely terrible. Have been on the phone for 40 minutes where they have advised the only way to change to another Freestyle tariff is to buy myself out of the remaining contract for over £100 and buy a SIM, whilst at the same time acknowledging that I am not subject to an airtime contract and can give 30 days notice. When he realised the stupidity of what he was asking me to do he said he would put me through the specialist Freestyle team. He then came back saying they could not help and I would have to pay over £100 to change my Freestyle tariff!
It looks like my only option is to give 30 days notice and get a sim with someone else.
Sorry to hear you're having difficulties changing tariff on freestyle.
As far as I was aware when on a freestyle contract you are able to change tariff at any time if you wish. The only time you would need to buy out the contract was if you were looking to change phone early. I'm afraid due to the nature of this issue I'm unable to deal with this over the forum I would recommend calling our mobile team on 789 or alternatively on 0345 6000 789.
