Changing SIM only tariff

Hi. I recently signed up for a rolling 30 day Pay Monthly SIM only tariff. As I wanted to check that coverage is OK at my home, I signed up for the cheapest tariff. I was delighted to read that you can change tariff at 'anytime'. 


My signal at home is fantastic and so tomorrow my old number is being transferred to Virgin so I'll need to upgrade to a bigger tariff. When I delved into my online account, I discovered that tariff changes can only happen at the start of a new billing period - not 'anytime'.


I'll really need the tariff upgrade from the moment the number is changed, rather than wait 3 weeks until the start of the next billing period. Is there any way in which, as a one off, the change can be made immediately?

I'm afraid that you would need to have the tariff you start with until the next refresh dates. Even if my colleagues processed a tariff change, this wouldn't go through until the next refresh date.
