swapped tivo box - signal strength error messages

I have just swapped our bedroom V+ box for a new Tivo. After just 24hrs, we have had several "low signal" errors and many channels are not viewable. To recover the channels we have reset the box 3 times already :-(
The old V+ box had an attenuator fitted. The "swap" manual shows a diagram of connections, with a "floating" attenuator but NO mention of it in the wording.
Should I use or disconnect the attenuator - please advise

Welcome to the community.

 

Has there been any improvement since yesterday regarding the signal? As long as the cables are secure in the back of the box then you shouldn't have any problems.

 

If using the attenuator doesn't make any difference then I would like to send one of the team out to take a look at it for you so if you click on the purple envelope at the top right of the screen you will see a message waiting for you with further information.
