VM Router needs constant resetting. ? different cable modem.

Has there ever been a more unreliable router than the VM Hub? Mine drops out and needs resetting at least 20 times a day, often after less than 5 minutes on line. This happens whether my PC is connected by Ethernet or WiFi. Windows diagnostics gives the 'Hm... we can't connect to this page' message, but says that I'm still connected to the internet. The only recourse is to run 'ipconfig /release' from the command prompt and then run the internet troubleshooter, which resets the router and (temporarily) cures the problem. I would like to purchase a (non-VM) cable modem to circumvent the problems, and wonder if any forum readers could give advice on reliable replacements. If this isn't possible I am seriously considering migrating to a non-VM broadband and TV provider such as BT or Sky-Q.

Thanks for the post! I am sorry to hear about your issues with your Hub needing constant resetting, I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I have tested things from here and everything looks great, no errors or time outs inside the Hubs logs and all of your power levels are within the preferred ranges.

Are you still having these issues? If so, please respond to me here with a recent copy of your Hubs logs for me to compare with the data we have here. You can find these by opening your internet browser and typing into the address bar. Before logging in it will say 'Router Status' in the top right corner, click there and all the information needed is inside.
