Tivo - Updating Stage 1 of 3

It seems like this is a pretty common problem but it's the first time it's happened with me. Basically my Tivo box has been updating stage 1 of 3 for the last 11 or 12 hours (not including the 4 times I've rebooted it in between those times), if someone can give me some help on how to fix this problem I would be more than grateful. Thanks.

Welcoem to the Virgin Media Community, I'm really sorry to learn about the trouble you've experienced with your TiVo box lately.

 

I've tested the set top box from our end and we're detecting problems with it. As a result I'd like to arrange for an engineer to come and resolve this for you if you're available?
