And I'm sure that it wouldn't need an extra piece of hardware to stream something from the hard drive over the internet.
Isn't the Tivo not Virginmedia hardware BUT Tivo hardware bought by Virginmedia?
Because the broadcasters allow that, they barely allow streaming between two tivos let alone over the dreaded internet, also the absolute maxium upload speed that could be given to a tivo is 2 meg and that's not nearly enough to stream recorded programs
