t:6013/c:4110 (Silverlight) error on Sky Sports channels?

How do I solve the t:6013/c:4110  error, relating to Silverlight, I get when trying to watch Sky Sports channels? I have followed suggested ideas and reinstalled Silverlight with no improvement. Plugins are enabled in my browser.

Re: t:6013/c:4110 (Silverlight) error on Sky Sports channels?

Hi kennybea,

Thanks for coming back to me Smiley Happy

The Copyright protection does refer to the DRM and this needs to be ticked so as you have that already ticked there is no need to change this setting.

Did you try uninstalling Silverlight?

On Windows PC's/Laptop's the Play ready folder is hidden and this is the folder that needs to be deleted. Can you make sure you un hide the folder first by completing the following:

1.                Select Start.

2.                Select Computer.

3.                Select Organize and choose Folders and search options.

4.                Select the View tab.

5.                In the Advanced Settings list, choose Show hidden files and folders.

6.                Select OK.

To then delete the folder follow these steps:

1.                Select Start Menu then Computer.

2.                Select primary hard drive, usually C:\.

3.                Select Program Data and then Microsoft.

4.                Right Click on PlayReady folder and select Delete.

5.                Empty the Trash folder / Recycle bin.

After doing this, please delete the browser history, cache and cookies so we can start completely from scratch. Go back to the Sky Movies/Sky Sports site and try and stream a channel.

It will advise there is no Silverlight installed and that you will need to install to play the content. Follow the steps to install Silverlight and then try again to play the content.

Keep me posted on how you get on.

Thanks,

Re: t:6013/c:4110 (Silverlight) error on Sky Sports channels?

Hi Kennybea,

Thanks for your post and a Huge welcome to the community.

This error usually refers to one of 2 things.

Either the device is not registered. In which case, selecting a channel to stream should register the device for you and streaming should commence.

Or the Silverlight installation on your PC has become corrupt. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling to see if this helps.

Make sure cookies are set to Always and Copyright Protection is not enabled.

Keep me updated on how things go.

Thanks,

Re: t:6013/c:4110 (Silverlight) error on Sky Sports channels?

Hi Kath - tried all that including trying to use an older version of Silverlight as someone suggested elsewhere. Still nothing doing on either Sky Sports or Movies. No problem streaming on other channels through Virgin. Adjusted settings as suggested. My laptop does not show as registered for Sky Sports+ Movies as I have not been able to get on to stream yet.  Totally fed up as I have had no problems in the past and this is how I watch Sport when my wife watches Downbeat Abbey.

I am using IE11, windows 7 on a Sony Viao laptop. All programmes are up to date. What is going on?

Not quite sure what you mean by Copyright Protection enabled. In playback on Silverlight I checked the box for DRM as instructed on other posts. Doesn't work if I leave it unchecked either!

Re: t:6013/c:4110 (Silverlight) error on Sky Sports channels?

Hi Skenners,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums Smiley Happy

The main issue with this error on Macs is the cookies being set to Allow or Never.

Change this to Always and the error should go.

Keep me posted on how you get on Smiley Happy

Re: t:6013/c:4110 (Silverlight) error on Sky Sports channels?

Hi, I am too at University and keep seeing this error message come up on Sky Sports and Sky Movies, I have tried many solutions, including the ones on this feed, as well as installing previous versions of Silverlight as people had suggested. I have run out of ideas. It all worked fine in December only recently have I had this problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Rae95,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue Smiley Sad

Just wondering, what browser are you using?

What are you trying to do when this error comes up?

Is your error message exactly the same as the OP or different?

Let me know.

Thanks,
