Speed, what speed?

Virgin frequently boast about faster broadband, but for weeks the speed I experience appears to be in almost reverse gear. Logging on to e-mail, I am now confronted by pulsating dots (or horizontal figure 8 logo) for well over a minute and sometimes a red popup appears telling me the server is not available. Your prices are going up, but the service is going down, so what is going (or not going) on?

Sorry to hear you're having speed issues.


I've run a diagnostic on your equipment and everything is looking great. All the levels are within spec and there are no network issues.


  • Are connecting wired or wirelessly?
  • Does it affect just one device or all of them?
  • Do you only get speed issues at certain times of day?
