Speed increased to 70mbps yet I am still getting aprox 50mbps?

Over the past year I have been inundated with the promotion that my speed was to be increased from 50 to 70mbps. The big day came and I was informed that my speed had now been increased to 70mbps yet I am still only getting around 50mbps, on a good day, much the same as before. Nothing has changed except the increase in cost of the broadband and the lack of reliability of the service.

I once boasted how VM was so reliable while all my pals moaned about BT and the rest but I was smug, too smug! I have lost count over the past year the amount of times the BB has gone down. I never had a problem when it was NTL and until now VM was excellent, what has changed?

Increase in cost, decrease in reliability at a higher price.

Comments anyone........

Hey Gino32,

Thanks for posting Smiley Very Happy

Sorry to hear about the lack of speed you mentioned.

I've checked your connection and something is certainly not right. It could be that my reports are incorrect, but looking now, you're not locking on to the correct amount of downstreams.

Let me drop you a PM (purple envelope, top right) so we can keep in touch and investigate further.

Speak with you soon,

Take care.
