Slow speeds

So I sign in to My Virgin and the first thing I see is "Your speed has been upgraded to 150 mbps"

Which is strange because my speed test shows the opposite

Last time this happened my contract had run out but no-one has been in touch like they usually have.

For information the above test shows upload of 10.08 mbps Download 16.99 mbps

My postcode is SO30 if that's any help Virgin Media area reference 21

Please advise

Using Virgin to stream live radio @ 160kbps

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

 

My apologies you are experiencing slow broadband speeds.

 

From checking your connection, the line and hub have come back as fine. There are no faults reported and the traffic on the network is running low, which is good.

 

Are you testing through a wired or wireless connection? If wireless can you try through wired please to see if the speeds differ?
