82000200 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out


We have been with VM since Feb 2002 (a record?) we are on Cable VIVID 200 Optical Fibre we only have the broadband service. Still, the service has always been very,very, good. However, over the last few weeks we have been experiencing problems with the internet connection. It doesn't seem to be very stable. We have done some broadband speed tests with 3 test sites, with only one computer attached, and the figures seem very good except the UPLOAD speed. Here is an example of 2 tests (The modem is only 10ft away from the computer):

Test site 1.

Wired Download = 167.12Mb. Upload = 0.85Mb

Wifi Download - 51.08Mb. Upload = 2.3Mb

Test site 2.

Wired Download - 333.2Mb. Upload = 3Mb

Wifi Download= 82.4 Mb. Upload= 2Mb

The Super Hub network log shows a lot of 'error 82000200  No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out'.

Any help/thoughts would be appreciated

As more people in your area are sold packages, your connection suffers as they have to split the bandwidth. Be prepared for a continuous drop in speed over the next year.

Getting consistently shafted by highly fluctuated ping during "peek" all daylight hours.
