Lost Broadband to both the home router and the Tivo box last night.
Reported it to an agent. All he could do was book an engineer appointment on next Tuesday for a visit, as the fault was in my premises. He was unable to grasp that with both the home broadband and the Tivo broadband down the fault was unlikely to be in the premises.
Logging onto the router and looking at the status of the network, it appeared that the DHCP server was unreachable.
Got up this morning lo and behold everything is now working OK.
All I have to do now is get the engineer appointment cancelled, although I'm tempted not to, as no doubt we'll lose service again before next Tuesday!
Thanks for letting us know about your broadband being down. I apologise for any troubles incurred.
I've tested the connection from here for you and I can see that your modem's SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) levels are too low and will require an engineers attention.
I will send you a PM (purple envelope at the top) detailing what's required in order to proceed with making the booking. Please respond to me there and I'll ensure this all gets booked and secured for you.
