Join Ofcom’s Broadband Performance Testing Panel, and you can see exactly how your broadband is performing, around the clock. Ofcom is looking to recruit more panellists on the 50Mb product.
Always in the know
Ofcom - The Office of Communications - is the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries.
They work with SamKnows, the independent broadband testing experts, to analyse real customer connections. It helps them to understand how all ISP’s networks are performing and it helps you to see how efficiently your connection is working. They will publish a summary of the collected information from the whole panel, so you can see the speeds Virgin Media customers are experiencing compared to other ISPs.

If you are selected then Ofcom will send you a special SamKnows unit which plugs into your Super Hub and measures your connection’s performance. It won’t record which sites you’ve visited, or register any personal data - It simply tests how hard your broadband is working. You can see the statistics for yourself on the SamKnows website, or through their handy app – so you’ll always be in the know.
