Samsung a5 won't connect to wifi

We got virgin broadband, TV and phone installed this morning, my iPhone and iPad will connect to the wifi no problem but my husband's Samsung galaxy a3 won't even find the wifi to connect to it...

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's really great having you on board with us in the Community Smiley Happy


I'm really sorry to hear that your A3 phone won't pick up the wifi. 


Does it pick up any other networks that may be available in the area? If it doesn't, the issue may be with the phone itself. 


If it's only your network that it's not picking up, try separating the 2.4 ghz and the 5 ghz networks. I can see these are named the same so they would broadcast as one. 


To do this just follow these steps:


> Connect your PC / Laptop to the hub via ethernet cable.

> Open a Web browser and enter

> Enter your Settings password (the default can be found on the label on the bottom of your hub 3.0

> Select the option Configure your WiFi connection

> Add 2G on to the 2.4 ghz name and 5G on to the 5 ghz name. 

> Save Changes


If you double check on your laptop, you should see both the networks broadcasting. If you do, try again on the A3 device.
