Over the past few days, I've been countering consistent packet loss (5%) and I am incapable of determining the reason behind such.
I recently ran a cmd prompt test featuring ping statistics for 184.108.40.206.
My results were as follows:
Ping statistics for 220.127.116.11:
Packets: Sent = 100, Received = 96, Lost = 4 (4% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 27ms, Maximum = 3576ms, Average = 74ms
I have done my best to try and diagnose the error, including a review of my current hardware set up (ethernet connector, router, etc) but no luck has been given.
I also made contact with Virgin support who confirmed the packet loss but believe the issue is not on their end.
Thanks for the post!
I am sorry to hear about your issues with your broadband connection having consistent packet loss, I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
I have tested the connection from here and I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, no errors or time outs inside the Hubs logs and all of the power levels are within the preferred ranges.
Are you still having these issues? If so, when these issues occur do they occur at specific times or all times of day?
Also, how are you connected, wired or wireless?
I look forward to hearing from you,
