Broadband problem

Hi all 1st post I've checked status on line and it say no known faults, but when watching Netflix it keeps freezing, so I ran a check check and it's says restart all equipment in 10 minutes and run another check, done this 3 times over the space of 2 hours but still the same thing keeps popping up, this was Sunday. I've just got in now and ran a check and same thing counter gets round to about 30% and same message  about restarting equipment in 10 minutes and run test again, I've rang 150 and when I go through options it just says there's an intermitant problem in my postcode area ng5 and engineers are trying to fix it, so if there's a fault in my area why does it not say so in the virgin media status and how long is this problem going to be as it's been really crap since Saturday dinner and still no sign of this problem being sorted
