it is poss to change the name on the account by asking the cs on 150 if you know the password and the account number you can change it i did it from my mum's name after a year being with virgin meida i rang up asking to change the name change and they did it ring them up if you know the password sometimes virgin media can by pass the password if you don't repose to chack the password it will go to a cs adviser

Call in to 150 from a virgin media phone or 0345 454 1111 from all other lines/mobiles, get into the main menu, go with option 4 -> option 5. Weekday between 8AM to 8PM. or a Saturday, between 8AM to 6PM (closed Sunday.) Ask them to send you the Transfer of Responsibility forms, I will cost £20. fill the form in and send it back as instructed and you'll get the services you have moved over into a new account under your own name and billing details.
Here's a brief run down of the main points to know about the TOR process we have.
Lived at the address for at least 6 months.
The current payments on the account must be up to date.
Documents will be issued within 48 hours of a TOR request
The forms need to be completed in full and returned within 14 days.
The original account holder will remain responsible for the account until the transfer has been completed.
A new 12 month mandatory contract will begin on completion of the transfer for the new customer.
The 14 day right to cancel option is not valid for Transfer of Responsibility requests, and is to be disregarded.
The Transfer can take up to 31 days from receipt of the completed forms, and that the new account holder will be notified in writing on completion of the transfer.
There is a one off charge to cover the cost incurred by Virgin Media in actioning such a request of £20.00
