Increasing Bill

Can anyone explain why virgin media sends letters saying "yay free speed boost rollout in your area" letters every 6 months and then the price increases £1.50 a few months later. My original price was 


it is now £42.11 an increase in £10 that i didn't ask for


A new customer can sign up on a contract or 30 day with the original 



Either you guys from cs look into lowering my bill or i will be calling complaints. I usually try not to call as i might be mis sold an extra service before the end of a call
