Dialing Tone problems

Hi There

I am struggling with my Virgin Media service regarding my landline phone.

I have had no dial tone on my Home Phone for the past several days. I have checked with two different phone sets, but none of them are given the dial tone to start a call. 

The phone is connected correctly, directly in the Virgin Media socket on my modem and it is all configured the same as when the engineer fitted it.

I have tried to ring my number from another phone and neither resulted in my home phone ringing.  

I have rebooted the modem but this hasn’t improved matters. Have gone online

Have checked on the website and there is no service issues in the area.

What help can be given? Is it possible for VM to test my line?

I'd like to take a look into this for you. But first can you check here for any known issues please.

Now we have agreed a time and date for a service technician to attend, can you please let me know how the visit went.

It went very well - the engineer quickly detected the problem and now its working Ok.
