Port forward PS4 on hub 3

Could someone please explain how to port forward my PS4 on my Virgin super hub 3.

At the moment I am a nat type 2 with an average download speed of around 30 mbps and an upload speed of about 2.5 mbps on a wired connection. If I connect my computer to the same lan cable, as the PS4, and carry out a speed test it is usually between 70-90 mbps download and 5-6 mbps upload.

I am hoping that port forwarding the PS4 will give me an open nat type (nat type 1).

Any help would be very appreciated.

Re: Port forward PS4 on hub 3

Firstly it is bad form to post your question multiple times, patience is key round these parts.

VM have provided a guide on port forwarding if you click here.

Port forwarding may well help to get an open NAT for the PS4, but I'm less convinced about it improving speeds.  The Sony speed tests on PS3 & PS4 are notorious for not reflecting the true speed of your connection because they only use a single threaded download.  Have a look at these posts where myself and others have discussed it previously:

I found a speed test that works on the PS4 browser and has a multi threaded download option, try this site in the PS4 web browser:

My setup: Vivid 200 Optical fibre with Superhub 2 in modem mode connected to a Netgear R7000 router. Telewest/VM user since 2001.
