After 8pm, poor download and terrible ping

This has happened on many a occasion, it feels like the service from Virgin media is poor, im close to switching to BT.

On many a occasion i've had to ring in to solve my poor ping and poor download, and now for the past 3 weeks, after 8pm would the ping ( from black ops 3 and LoL) would sky rocket and become inconsistent. I've done numerous speedtests and received very poor download.

I've rang / done checks and apparently everything is fine, i've done the usual, change the cable and it happens for both wired and wireless.

Hi EhsanJ1995,

 

Sorry to hear your speeds are worse in peak times. It certainly sounds like a contention issue from the timing you've specified. 

I've just checked your connection and there is maintenance in the area at the moment and is due to be finished by around 2pm today. I did check for any area faults and there is contention in the area under ticket F004051066. This will cause slow speeds and latency at peak times such as evenings and weekends and is due for review 27/04/16. 

If you'd ever like an update on the progress of the ticket just bump this post after the review date and we'll get you more information.
