Access to RS is just fine now which seems to enforce a rumour I heard that it was VM blocking access between 4.45 and 10pm due to excessive bandwidth usage.
So it looks like it isnt a legal issue but more of Virgin capping services yet again issue. I cant believe they are still allowed to call their service "unlimited".

I can ping rapidshare.com, so it should be an error with rs?

i have been able to ping rapidshare , but im still unable to connect to RS , i wouldnt be bothered apart from i keep my work related files on there servers so that my customers have easy access to files they require.

Virgin need to address this problem ASAP. I can't access a site for which I pay for a premium membership. So I'm essentially losing money the longer Virgin don't address this problem.
I've no problem cancelling my phone, internet and TV package and going elsewhere if Virgin Media don't make an official statement about this. It's unacceptable.

Either me. I have 2 premium accounts, both on megaupload and RS as I use them for work, and second day I can't access any of them.

I can 100% confirm that rapidshare.com is being blocked by virgin media.
http://tools.virginmedia.com/cgi-bin/HTTP.pl?rapid
says:
Input Query: rapidshare.com Started at: 22:33:00 IO:ocket::INET: connect: Connection refused
or
Input Query: rapidshare.com Started at: 22:35:53 Stopped at: 22:36:08 ERROR: Incompatible data type
I hope someone has screwed something up. If this is not a screw up but an attempt to monitor or restrict access I will be calling retentions and leaving. I will also be advising me clients, friends and family to boycott virgin media.

For me it's now redirecting me to dreamworks animation, anyone else??

I'm opening a new thread as this one is marked as solved, when its not!
BTW http://megaupload.com is working for me

will have to try tomoro to see if its still down/blocked . if this is a blocked site through VM then i will also be leaving VM. Im not paying for a service that i cannot use to its full potential. Also i would imagine that many more will follow. BT has already in my area started to roll out the FIBRE connections. So off to a diff ISP.
**Edit - All other file hosts work fine
