Blueyonder

Please can you help with sending from a blueyonder email account while abroad? Trying to sort out my mum's account while she's visiting me.

All was working fine on outlook and iPhone when she arrived but now cannot send email from either. Still ok on webmail. Receiving is ok so both.

I've checked the settings on VM page - bizarrely when I use those settings for receiving it stops working!! So reverted to my own and sending is fine Smiley Happy

I've read a few posts here that say you have to use webmail when abroad but I can't quite believe it. I've never heard of that issue with any other email provider!

Thanks for coming to our forum for help with this, welcome to our Community Smiley Happy
You'll need to ensure that the outgoing server is authenticated.

The SMTP server settings should be:

  • SMTP server name - smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
  • SMTP SSL - Enabled
  • SMTP port - 465
  • SMTP authentication - Enabled (or 'Password' on Macs)
  • SMTP username - Full email address, e.g., richard.branson@blueyonder.co.uk

If sending fails a failed delivery message should be returned which will help explain what's happening. I'll send you a PM (purple envelope icon, top right of page) in a moment so I can request some information from you. Hopefully then we'll make some headway on this Smiley Happy
