When will i have to pay my first bill?

I only just signed up for virgin media broadband and I still only have a provisional date for delivery of my router etc. 

Please can anyone tell me when I'll have to pay my first bill, so I can make sure there's enough money left in my bank account?

You cannot tell until it’s installed. You should get an email telling you the amount and the date the Direct Debit will be taken.

If you are using a 'Quick Start' kit, where VM sends you the equipment and you plug it in yourself to an existing cable, then VM considers your connection is 'activated' shortly after delivery. You should not be charged until after that.
