No Broadband in my town.

I live in Pontypool,Gwent South Wales. I have been basically been lied to by the likes of Virgin,Sky,BT regarding their "better than the rest" Broadband,tv etc etc. I'm currently with Sky but the refuse to update the dish because a cherry picket is needed etc. All three have been saying for the last few years that their fibre optic lines would be installed "in the next few months'. BT have been saying this for 3 years and the others are the same. Virgin just like the others have lied and lied  over and over. The big towns  are all they care about. They don't care about the likes of the Gwent Valleys

Well, if you're going to live in Pontypool you have to have a sense of humour.     Smiley Wink   Smiley LOL

Re: No Broadband in my town.

hiya @Bjorling2002 with project lighting e.g. -> http://www.virginmedia.com/corporate/media-centre/press-releases/virgin-media-and-liberty-global-ann...

looking at http://maps.thinkbroadband.com/#!lat=51.66766161920619&lng=-2.996588958972095&zoom=13&type=terrain&c... the closest virginmedia is in cwmbran, so virginmedia would need to run cables up to your area and depends if would be cost effective to do the work, i take it you've registered via http://www.virginmedia.com/cablemystreet/ and get all your neighbours to do the same as for what area they do first, depends on the red tape from councils etc.

as for the dish you possible could do this yourself or if you know a good electrical engineer to do the work since about £50 for new dish

@Dave_cq lol that gave me a good laugh
