Unfortunately the only way to get in touch with VM is by phone.
Everyone should supervise any work done on their premises, VM work included. You should not let any worker leave until you have inspected their work, remedied any faulty work or if they cannot, take a phone of the worker and the fault. Then you have a very good case to complain.
