As the title above says, looking to build a man cave and just wondering what the longest extension can be.
Thanks in advance.

Depends on several factors, such as your distance from the street cabinet, the number of cable splits & the length of existing cable runs. The further you are from the street cabinet, the less leeway the technician has to increase the signal level being pushed out on your line to compensate.

Im talking about extending my connection from
house to shed.

Far better to run one or two Ethernet cables to the shed.

Yes, & I’m saying the maximum amount the cable can be extended varies depending on the factors stated in my previous post. If you are too far from the cabinet or for other reasons you are already on maximum signal from the cabinet then moving the distance you want will not be possible.

Hey Johnfolan, thank you for reaching out and to answer your question as mentioned it depends on factors.
Ideally you buy a 3rd party cable as big as you want but we wouldn't advise this.
Where are you trying to move them, how far is it?
If its to far it could cause a mess with a lot of leads around the house.
