Virgin 360 tv box

I have recived a Virgin TV 360 box to replace old type TV box. I have a new hub upstairs attached to my PC including my land line phone This is my issue.My only connections to my TV downstairs is my main virgin coax cable and the HDMI cable. Will the TV 360 box work correctely with just these two connections. I do not want my TV to be connected to my PC in any way.

It would be useful to know which box you had before, I would assume a TiVo? Check at https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box 

If so, all that has changed is that the TV360 needs an internet connection via your homehub, whereas the TiVo had this built-in. Ideally this connection will be via Ethernet cable, but reliable wireless will also suffice.

The co-ax connection to receive broadcast TV channels, and HDMI connection to your TV, will be exactly the same.
