Virgin 360 mute is only on for seconds

Just upgraded to V360 TV and the mute button only mutes for a few seconds.

Have you tried factory resetting and repairing the remote;

Press and hold the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds which will factory reset the 360 remote.

After the factory reset, try pressing TV and 0 button for 10 seconds and it should now force pairing.

We're sorry to hear about the problem you're experiencing 😔

Just to be absolutely clear, is the TV coming off mute automatically without you pressing anything at all on the remote?

 I press the mute button on the remote - the TV sound mutes for about 5-10 secs and then comes back on without any other button press.

Its a brand new remote unit - should I need to do a factory resset when in principle it has come from the factory ?

Well it's worth a try to make sure it has correctly paired to your TV, are you using any A/V equipment (soundbar etc), or is the 360 connected just to the TV.
