Why does the lip sync wander about? It's perfect one minute, then it drifts off, this is on the same programme.
It's the same on all channels. I tried all as far I am aware, but having no luck. So annoying. What are my options?

I can see me ringing virgin up and getting them to get rid of this 360 rubbish, nothing but problems,
Lip sync,
Tried fixing it with different hdmi cables, different sockets etc, still no joy, In doing this I've lost sound to my sound bar, so having to use my TV rubbish speakers.
Now it will not connect to my other box upstairs to play recordings,
O yeah the picture quality ain't the best on some on the channels like quest.
I've lost it now.

Hi GlennP1,
Unfortunately switching back to V6 isn't an option, (well not an easy one).
Is your soundbar not working because you have bypassed it to cure the lip sync problems.
What TV and soundbar do you have, providing the make and model numbers may help getting an answer, also are you connecting the soundbar using a HDMI cable and eARC or fiber optic cable.
You need both boxes set to fast start or active start to watch recordings between boxes, are both boxes connected to the hub using ethernet cable or wifi and is the hub set to router or modem mode.
I see you have previously posted about pixelation problems before the update did you have an engineer out to adjust your signal levels or replace a box.

Thanks for your reply,
I will post more on Tuesday when I'm off, I can't concentrate on this after a day's graft, just want to chill.
I'm not ignoring you. I do appreciate you help

The complete loss of sound through the sound bar might be a quick fix.
On the 360 under Settings > Audio & Video > Volume key control ... is the screen showing your make of TV instead of the make of your soundbar? If so highlight it and click on OK on the 360 remote. This will switch it back to the soundbar, then press the Back key (directly above the volume key) on the 360 remote.

Thank you
For your replies.
I have sound through my sound bar now, plugged the HDMI cable into the arc socket on my TV.
Got the playback working from the other box, restarted the upstairs box, this was a weird one as it would work reading the box down stairs but it wouldn't work the other way round. But like I say it's working,
Lip sync is sometimes in sync and other times it's miles apart.
If I get this fixed I will be a happy bunny.

Would a hdmi splitter work,
From 360 to splitter, 1 to tv and the other to sound bar.
Do you think this would solve my issue.

What TV and soundbar do you have.
If you have a separate HDMI input (not the eARC or ARC connector) on your soundbar you could try contacting the 360 to that and then the TV and soundbar connected using eARC or ARC connector.

My TV is a LG UH770V
My soundbar is JBL model bar studio. It only has 1 HDMI port

Hi there @GlennP1
Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the community forums, it's great to have you here.
I am so sorry that you are facing this issue with your sound and thank you very much to roy247 for their help here so far.
Apologies if I've missed this in the thread but can I just check, do you notice issues with lip sync when you are not using the sound bar as well?
