Message from virgin media

Good afternoon, I received the following text earlier.

Called virgin Custer services, to ask and they told us it's a scam to forward to 7762. However the phone said unable to send. So I Googled 7762 and found the ofcom site saying It's 7726, so I sent to that and still can't send it?

From what you've said, it sounds like you've done every step correctly.

Just to check, when you go to forward the text are you doing these steps below?

Open your messaging app and find the text you want to block. Long-press the message and tap the Block icon. (In some apps, you may need to tap Options (three dots) > Block.)

If I donthat won't it block the messages from yourselves such as data has been referred and welcome to Spain etc?

It will yes, But if you aware if it being a scam now. Just keep an eye out for any more suspicious messages. 

We would never ask for billing or bank details over a text message.
