TIVO box resets every 40 minutes - phone support useless

Hello our tivo box has started to reset and reboot every 40 minutes regular as clockwork.

We attempted to use the telephone helpline but this was worse than useless (in that we were promised a call back by the support member that never materialised), between unintelliglible accent and a seeming inability to form a comprehensible question we spent approx 19 minutes of a 24 minute call on "clearing security" we were told that he needed to do "something" and would ring back withing one minute. That was 2 hours ago.

Problem persists, does anyone here know what they are doing please?

The account holder is an 81 year old gentleman and he could barely make out one word in twenty on the phone. Please let me know any information you reuire ASAP.

Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I'm sorry to hear of the issues that you're having at the moment. This sounds like a new box would be needed to resolve the issues, this would mean losing any recorded programmes that are currently on the box. Are you happy to go ahead and book an engineer visit to get the box replaced? We would need to take some details via a private message to do this.
