When I watch anything from catch up or bookmarked the buffering circle is in the middle of the screen, the program plays absolutely fine just the circle stays on

Have you tried restarting your TiVo via the Help & Settings menu?
I've seen these symptoms before but they usually clear if you retry a couple of times.
