TNT Sports 1 Volume During Football on a PC

Hi

This has been doing my head in for ages now. I started watching football games on TNT (and whatever it was before) last year, or the year before, via my PC.

Why is it that any game shown on TNT 1 has a massive difference in volume compared to the adverts, while TNT Sports 2 & 3 are fine? Whenever a game comes on, I have to turn the volume up quite a bit for the actual programme and then lower it again when the adverts come on.

nuts.

For clarity, I am talking about football games.

For example, last night and the European League games. There were matches on TNT Sport 1, 2 and 3, all at the same time. 2 & 3 were fine, but the game on 1 was as described above.

Hi nutineil

Thanks for your post and welcome back to our community.

We're sorry to hear you're having some issues with the volume when watching TNT Sports 1 on your PC.

Does this only happen when viewing on that device?

If so, this may be down to the audio features on that device.

We'd recommend looking at the sound settings on the device please.

If you have any further questions, please pop back to us and we'd be happy to help.

I will try and check tomorrow on the telly when there is a live game on. However, I cannot see how it would be my PC, as Sports 2 and 3 are fine. Also, I just flicked on the highlight show on my PC, and it is fine.

It just appears to be the live football games on TNT Sports 1 that I've noticed.

Okay, so I have just checked on the TV and the volume is fine there, while there is a big difference on the TV Go website. I do not accept this is a setting on my PC but a fault in the platform It also happens on various other channels, but I cannot understand how two of the three TNT Sport channels are okay, while Sports 1 is not.

Hi @nutineil

Have you got another device other than the PC you can try TV GO on?

I've just tried it on my phone and it is the same problem. I put on the live rugby and the commercials are much louder.

Hey nutineil, thank you for reaching out with some more information.

How much louder are we talking here?

Also was this an European game or just the normal league?

Has it always been like?

Matt

I can say the problem has been has been ongoing since at least March 2023, as I questioned users of another forum about it.

The difference in volume? Lets say I am comfortably listening to the game in one upstairs room and it not being heard throughout the rest of the house, then I go to the opposite corner of the house downstairs. When the commercials come on, they will then be heard quite clearly downstairs, with all the pointless bass booms that accompany them - please do not suggest I turn the bass down.

The problem seems to be present on TNT Sports 1 only, not on the Sports 2 & 3.

It happens in league games, European club competitions and Internationals and therefor I have been able to compare the channels when two or more games are broadcast simultaneously.

Hi nutineil,

Thanks for coming back to us on this one.

I'm afraid it sounds more like a broadcasting issue as opposed to a fault. It may be worth relaying your concerns/feedback over the volume directly to TNT Sports.

It's not uncommon for some programming to be quieter than the adverts although we wouldn't expect there to be a huge difference.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Thanks,
