Sky Sports + Red Button on Desktop App

Hi,

Has anyone figured out a way to use the "red button" function whilst watching Sky Sports + using the Sky Sports desktop app on laptop/PC?

Plenty of live games to choose from on the TV but seems you can only watch the one they are showing by default whilst streaming online.

Thanks,

Hi DD16

I'm sorry but Sky haven't made that function available to anyone on a computer, not even their own customers.

You can though access the streamed red button content using the Sky Sports app on ios and android mobiles and tablets.

Sky 1) Do not want to allow casting to TVs, and 2) stop pirate copies being made from the streams.

You are most certainly correct, but it's a shame that the Sky Sports Desktop Player (and Sky Go for Sky subscribers) don't have access to Sky Sports+ streams, especially given that these are themselves apps, and thus not provided via a browser (eg Chrome).

I understand that NOW provides the Sky Sports+ streams on a computer, but I could be wrong on that.
