I had been with Sky for a very very long time as there was no realistic option. However, Virgin installed their system recently so I had TV and Broadband installed yesterday.
Everything is fine except the Bose system connected to my tv does not work. It worked perfectly with Sky for many years.
The output from the Bose I use is via the headphone socket, which is analogue, so I had to fit an ARC Audio Extractor & DAC Converter and connected it to the HDMI 2 port. This setup worked great. The TV is a Samsung UE43CU8000K and the VM system is the Stream set up.
So help would be appreciated.

Hey gpblancs, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this, also a warm welcome to the community.
We don't guarantee our kit to work with any 3rd party equipment.
However its worth trying it on the 2.4GHZ setting, have you tried to reset the sound bar to its factory settings?
Also has every other device connected up fine? If so there could be an issue with the soundbar?
Is the sound bar also fully updated?

Your television may have detected a change and turned off passthrough for sound, or a setting needs to be changed as you have changed equipment. Your set-up seems quite complex, and there might not be an answer as we aren't familiar with your setup

It's not clear why the Stream box should have any effect on your Bose set up, but just to be clear, it sounds as if you are playing the output from your Bose box on your TV. Is that right, or have I misunderstood you?
Assuming so, have you tried it again with the Stream box not connected, and have you tried putting it in a different HDMI port? I doubt if either should matter, but it will at least eliminate a couple of unlikely causes.
