On 500mb Fibre, trying to get stream box to replace freeview but can’t

Hi, has anyone had any luck getting Virgin to give them a stream box instead of just trying to upsell you a new TV contract (I recently cancelled that and went fibre only)? I’ve tried 6 times via chat and phone and every time they say I can’t have one, and that I’ll have to get a ‘great price’ on a new TV contract. 

anyone else having this issue? And how can I get one!

Ah so the chat bot (before a person) has actually just been the most helpful - I need to wait another 2 days for my new contract to ‘clear’ and then they should be able to add one to my account. Why can’t the humans just tell me that!!!?!
