I have a stream box which came with my broadband subscription. This will not work at all. There’s a light on the box but it just shows me a charging port image on screen when first switching the power on but afterwards nothing shows and the device does not operate at all?
should I contact Virgin directly.

There have been a number of Stream boxes sent out with faulty power leads.
Do you have a spare usb power lead you can try?
Some people have also found that by holding the power button whilst connecting the power usb that a menu appeared that allowed them to do a software update and then connect

I have tried a different power lead unsuccessfully but I will try the second piece of advice and see if that makes a difference.
