My son is staying for a few months and needs a bit more ooomph. Is there any way I can increase the speed whilst he is here? Are there penalties?

Hi @faret

Welcome to our community forums and thank you for your query.

Upgrading/downgrading your speeds may trigger a new 18-month contract as seen here https://www.virginmedia.com/existing-customer-deals We would advise calling our team on 0345 454 1111 who can look into all available deals and best advise.

Thanks,

It's not something you can "boost" like you can with buying more data for use on a mobile phone. New speed, new contract, the majority of which will have a minimum period of 18 months.
