I found information on the website :

Upload speed add-on: Available only in Virgin Full Fibre areas. Excludes Essential Broadband customers. £6 a month extra. Boosts upload speed to your Hub to same speed as your package’s advertised download speed. Actual speeds may vary from time to time. 30 day’s notice to cancel add-on.

Looking through the forum posts I can't figure out what the price of this add-on is. There are different amounts, £20, £18, £12. How does this relate to the above information from the official website?
Is there an official price list somewhere?
How much does this add-on actually cost per month and is there an additional installation fee?
Are there different prices depending on the speed of the package you have?
I now have Volt Gig1 Full Fibre ,£33 per month. How much should my package with the add-on cost?

As you have found you will not get a definitive answer on the board. Phone up and ask.

it's a £6 /mo addon, doesn't matter what package you are on, if they are trying to charge you more, they are applying it wrong. make a complaint.

You have the exact same package as i used to have, 500/500, volt to 1000/1000 my bill was £39 (£33+£6) then upgraded to 2 gig, for £6 extrra and now pay £45 for 2000/2000
