No street connection

I’ve checked my postcode on the virgin media checker and it says I can get virgin broadband. However the house has never had virgin media installed before and there aren’t any of the black looking boxes in the pavement. 
how will I be able to get connected if there is seemingly nothing there to connect to?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here, it’s great that you are considering joining us.

Sometimes the access points in the pavement become covered when the local authorities complete resurfacing works. This isn’t a big problem as will simply reinstate it when an installation takes place. Just to confirm, I will send you a private message for some more details and I will check this out for you. Neighbours don’t seem to have virgin media.

Pavements are original pavements from 12 years ago when the estate was built. There are no plastic boxes anywhere in any of the pavements on the estate yet the postcode checker is telling me we can have virgin media.
