Hello - contractors are currently installing the fibre cables on my road but have stopped at Number 28, which is my neighbour and there are 7 more houses after mine. I asked the installers if they were going any further up our road and they said they were not allowed as its a private road. Neither myself or any of my neighbours are aware of this and I've checked with the council so I do not understand why the install is not going any further up our road? I've waited a long time to have full fibre to my home so it will be a real shame if its going to stop at the house next door. As a side note, the installers are doing a great job! Can someone point me in the direction of a contact to try and unravel this.

Hi @Obiwalsh,
Thank you for your post and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.
I'm very sorry to hear that there seems to be a complication with installations going on in the area, and what properties will and will not be serviceable. There are many factors that can impact this, including permits as you've mentioned.
However, so we can take a closer look for you, I'm going to send you a private message shortly where we can take some further details. Please respond to this when you can.
Thanks,

VM really do not like installing in private roads.

Sounds as if the road was expanded in the not too distant past. Developers can retain ownership of these add ons for several years, & also impose "no dig" embargoes for up to 10 years to stop contractors digging up the brand new tarmac.
