I am not a VM customer but have now been without power for over 6hrs , with another 4hrs predicted by the national power team. Due to your fibre installation team severing my electricity cable digging up the pavement.
I have not been able to work from home most of the day, cannot cook my evening meal and had to sit in dark without heating.
I would like to talk to someone about compensation.
please advise.

I think it is probably quite likely VM will decline your request for compo. See below instead

If the outage goes past 12 hours then compensation will be paid by your DNO, and they will likely get paid by Virgin Media's insurers.
