Recent ContentLandline BH18 9JH Is anybody having problems with their landline in the BH18 area? We received a call at 09.00 this morning but by 11.30 people trying to contact us were either being told our number does not exist or they couldn't connect with us. We are unable to dial out. Need an urgent fix as we are awaiting a hospital call Tony461 Anytime Chatter Can anyone please tell me if 0845 and 0870 calls are included in the Anytime Chatter package? I’ve been on live chat with a VM agent, and they said they were, but all the information I can find online seems to contradict this advice. Thank you Landline phone not working I reported an issue on with my home landline phone not working. I discovered it wasn't working on the evening of 28/APR and reported it on 01/MAY by calling 0345 454 1111. I have the old copper cable dedicated wall connection socket and tried another working DECT cordless phone and handset with the same result - no dialtone. I can call the landline phone from my mobile phone and it rings, but it is not possible to answer the call. An engineer was supposed to visit on 03/MAY but I received a message on 02/MAY saying that the issue is a network issue and work was underway to fix it. Later that same day, I received a text message stating the issue was now resolved. Only, it wasn't. I called the 0345 number on 03/MAY and reported the issue again. This time I was told it was being passed to another team who would investigate. If they need further information from me, they would be in touch, but the phone should be working again in 3 working days. If Monday this week was regarded as a working day, then today is the 3 day mark and my phone is still not working and I have received absolutely no follow-up. Can someone please investigate this? That's now over a week I've been without a phone service that I have paid for. Thanks, Brian My landline voicemail isn't working. For over 2 months now my voicemail hasn't been working. I can hear the tone on my phone alerting me that there is new messages. I dial 1571 and the automated service alerts me that I have new messages, but I cant hear them. I am missing out on very important messages. Landline not working Our landline hasn’t worked for the last few weeks. We’ve tried following the advice on the virgin website but to no avail. Can I make a technician appointment please ? Thanks SolvedVoicemail messages I have some saved messages on my landline which I want to delete. I have dialled 1571 and followed the prompts which say to press ‘3’ to delete the message but it seems that the automated message does not register that I have pressed ‘3’ and continues to give me the other options. Is there anything I can do to delete these messages as it’s only a matter of time before my voicemail becomes full. Unable to call new BT Landline from VM Landline My auntie got a new BT landline about 6 weeks ago. They had previously been with another provider, unfortunately I don't know the name of the provider, however, for reasons that aren't relevant here, that landline was cancelled and they were left with no landline at all. As VM are not in their area, we contacted BT to get a landline installed (on VOIP), which they did, but it had a new number. BT did manage to get their old number reactivated, so no need to ring round people to tell them a new number. However, since the old number was reactivated, we have not been able to call them. We get 'the number has not been recognised' message. I can call them on my mobile, and others have been calling them too (although I don't know on which service eg VM, BT, mobile). They can call us though. I've heard there may be a porting issue, but how long would it normally take to port a number? Is there any way we can get this resolved as we are my elderly auntie and uncle's main carers and not being able to call them like this is a bit disconcerting. Do we just have to transfer our landline to BT to get this resolved? Removing landline from my account/bundle Hello. My account/bundle is due for renewal soon. I don't really need my landline anymore, (only 2 people phone me on that number !). So, I want to remove the landline from my account/bundle in order to save a bit of money. I've been told that if I do this, the landline will still partially work and be able to ring and accept incoming calls, (without any fees), but I'd be unable to make outgoing calls. Is this true ? If it is true then I'd be happy with this. Also.....would it negatively affect my new bundle negotiation ? (I currently have a TV, broadband and landline bundle). Landlines in SK10 3HJ area of Macclesfield Landlines not working on Priory Lane and possibly beyond since recent power cut. This is usually resolved by switching on again at the cabinet on Priory Lane opposite no. 20. Can somebody please get there and do this. The landline has been down for a couple of days now. Migrate phone service only, to VoIP provider? I have a broadband/TV/landline bundle with Virgin Media. Is it possible to move just the landline service away (to a VoIP provider), and if so, how? I set up a contract with a VoIP provider and want to port my number from Virgin Media. But when I get to the point in the process (at the VoIP provider) where I give details of the number I want ported, they contact Virgin and I get a message from Virgin telling me that the switch will mean that I will no longer have the broadband or TV services, which is not what I want at all! I want to maintain these for the moment and just port the number.
